Baby Elephant Crochet Free Pattern Amigurumi

Hello!! Finally continuing with the 5 little animals from the African savannah... the elephant! A very cute elephant, just like his friend the lion! I promise not to take too long with the pattern of the other savannah friends and their little bag so that you can make this beautiful gift for the little ones in your family!!

It is approximately 8 centimeters high and we do it in rounds. It is a simple pattern, with small pieces, perfect for those who are just starting out with crochet!

So, let's start this beautiful purple elephant!

Materials

I will use the following abbreviations in this pattern:

Sc Single crochet

Sl St Slip Stitch

Dc Double crochet

Inc Increase: making 2 sc or dc in one stitch

Dec Decrease: create one sc or dc from two

Ch Chain

When you see something between asterisks **, followed by an “x #” this means you should repeat what is between the asterisks the number of times mentioned.  For example, *1 sc + 1 inc* x 6 means that you must make 1 single crochet in one stitch and one increase in the following stitch and repeat this 6 times.

At the end of each row you will see a number between parenthesis, this number represents the number of stitches with which you should finish each row.

For example, if you see (12) this means that when you finish making what the instruction states on that row you should count 12 stitches.

So, let’s start crocheting!

And your elephant is done!!! It is just beautiful!!! Now we have the zebra, the antelope and the giraffe left!  I am still debating on how to make the giraffe following the egg-shaped body of these cute animals.  Let’s see what I come up with! And then, the bag on which they can be transported all together!
